Brave Writing Course Description:

I am a certified Wild Writing Teacher and completed Wild Teacher Training with Laurie Wagner. Brave Writing is my unique class in the style and format of Wild Writing. 

Brave Writing uses poetry as the prompt for timed free writes. We write continuously, without stopping, in order to outpace perfectionism. After we write, we read our work aloud. We do not offer critique. We acknowledge each other with attention and listening. We do this two to three times each class.

Classes cultivate a sense of play and rest. Writing in a non-performative space where you are invited to show up as you are, who you are, without needing to prove your worth, we deconstruct internalized ideas of “good” and “bad” writing. You have a right to your voice, you don’t have to earn that.
